About:

The University of Siena, founded in 1240, is one of the oldest universities in Europe. It is situated in the heart of one of the most beautiful and best preserved medieval towns in Italy. Siena University hosts some 20,000 students and is a relatively small university by Italian standards.

In national rating surveys the university regularly comes in the top three places and has often been the highest rated of the small universities, reflecting the individual attention given to students and the high quality of student services. The university has extensive international links in Europe, the USA and Canada and welcomes a large number of non-Italian students each year. The university library is one of the best-stocked in Italy.

The Euromasters courses, designed exclusively for a small number of incoming students, draw on staff from the Departments of Social Sciences, of Letters, and of Economics. Specialist faculty is also drawn from other institutions, such as the European University Institute in Florence.
